'Impression of Wulong' - landscape drama

The Impression of Wulong show is a large-scale live landscape performance directed by China's acclaimed director Zhang Yimou and jointly supported by the local government of Wulong county in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

The show creates interactions between nature and humanity by incorporating Wulong's natural karst geological formations into stories that show local cultural and folk traditions.

Located deep in Peach Garden Canyon, the show's 2,600-seat venue is surrounded by the steep mountains which are highlighted by the amazing lighting design.

With the show held at night, the high-tech colorful lights are directed at the mountains from selected angles to produce a dreamlike presentation that is only accentuated by enchanting music.

The performers of the show include professional dancers as well as villagers from the region who help give the stage performance an authentic local touch that cannot be found elsewhere.

A total of 200 people star in the show.
