A video showing many children queued up to "drive" the two simple excavators in a park in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province, attracted huge attention online. The video recorder, surnamed Wang, is a mother who found it interesting that kids were so excited about excavators.
Wang said that the two excavators were free to play, and they were very popular with both adults and children. The video shows kids sitting on the seat of the excavator and trying to scoop up stones and move them to the other side. Children and their parents were having lots of fun with the excavators.
"I hope there will be more such interesting facilities in parks in the future," said Yang.
Driving excavators used to be an internet buzzword in China, which even young children know about. Many people commented online that they also wanted to experience driving the excavator and joked that no one can refuse it.
