The extraordinary sight of three suns appeared in the sky of Hulunbuir, North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which lasted for five hours.

A local resident surnamed Wang recorded the bizarre sight, in which three suns appeared side by side in the sky. "This is not the first time we've seen something fantastic like this, and we can see it every two or three years," she said.

The phenomenon, called the parhelion, is related to the high latitude of Hulunbuir and the cold weather in winter, Wang said, adding that ice crystals in cirrostratus clouds 6,000 to 7,000 meters in the air refracted by light to make three suns appear in the sky.

A netizen from Southwest China's Sichuan Province said that he has never seen such a magical scene, which is completely different from the scenery in the south, and hopes to have the opportunity to visit Hulunbuir one day.
