Many foreign soccer fans have experienced writing Chinese characters outside the stadiums of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, the latest Chinese element to appear in Qatar after giant pandas and stadiums built by Chinese companies.

In the video, a group of soccer fans gathered around the exhibition stand and wrote Chinese characters on a fan, which they wrote with relish. They happily hold up their fans for the camera to show their results after finishing the calligraphy.

This is not the first time that Chinese elements have appeared at the Qatar World Cup, and Chinese elements are influencing the quadrennial event of soccer in a variety of ways.

Foreign reporters earlier have been spotted carrying bags from the Beijing 2008 as they run around venues for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Similar media bags, made 14 years ago in Beijing, have also been seen in the company of many journalists at many other Olympics such as those in Tokyo, Rio, and London. "All the Olympic Games I carried it," said an Iranian reporter.
