A 78-year-old man, Wu Guoliang, created a set of colorful lead paintings called The Meeting in Space in Jinan, East China's Shandong Province on Sunday. The set contained a total of eight paintings and all illustrated scenes linked to Shenzhou-15's successful launch.

China launched the manned spaceship Shenzhou-15 on November 29, with three taikonauts onboard due to meet with their colleagues on the country's space station to conduct a formal work handover. To commemorate the occasion, Wu spent four days recording the wonderful moments when the six taikonauts met in space. What impressed him most was the story of Deng Qingming, who had waited for 25 years to reach space. Netizens were moved by Wu's creativity. "This may be the 'space spirit' engraved in the bones of the Chinese people. Wu has set a good example for the young people," a netizen said.
