Recently, an embroidery course at the culture and art education center of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology in Northwest China's Shaanxi Province exhibited works of students' exquisite projects to the public at the end of the semester.

This intangible cultural heritage embroidery course is one of the art practice courses offered by the school with around 30 students taking the course this semester.

A student surnamed Wang said that he majored in science and engineering, but the university attaches great importance to aesthetic education, so he registered for this course.

"I never thought I could do a piece of embroidery on my own. The process from zero to one is difficult, but I can feel the persistence of craftsmen and the charm of intangible cultural heritage embroidery," Wang said.

We pay great attention to the cultivation of students' artistic accomplishments, said a teacher from the university.

In addition to cultivating students' hands-on skills, they will also explain to students the background of embroidery and the traditional culture behind this intangible cultural heritage, the teacher said. Netizens commented that similar courses are very good for the all-round training of students and hope that such courses can be promoted and passed on.
