The painkiller Ibuprofen is getting increasingly popular these days. But have you heard of the Ibuprofen dance? On the Chinese market, many brands of Ibuprofen share similar packaging featuring a red figure posing in different postures, signaling the drug's effectiveness at relieving various body pains. Some netizens have recently tried to copy the poses on the medicine boxes, putting them together into choreography and inventing the Ibuprofen dance. These dances then went viral online, with a growing number of netizens imitating them at home during quarantine. While the Ibuprofen dance, unlike the medicine itself, cannot bring down a fever, its popularity mirrors the positive and relaxed mentality of quite a few people, who are not anxious in the face of Omicron, but confident. The mentality may as well be an efficient therapy to ease body pains, and help the Chinese people win the battle against the virus.
