A villager in Southwest China's Sichuan Province ran into a wild giant panda who was looking for food in the forest, and even took a photo with the cute giant.

"I was looking for my missing pig on mountains but found a giant panda instead!" villager Kuang Jinbing said. The panda was not afraid of human strangers and hung around in the forest for about an hour before returning home.

This is the first time that people captured a giant panda with a phone, previously it had been often photographed using infrared cameras. The giant panda descended  from the snow-covered mountain to look for food, according to An Xiang, an official of the local government.

The location where villager Kuang encountered the giant panda belongs to Giant Panda National Park. It is not rare for villagers to run into giant pandas there.
