A video of five baby owls standing in line with police officers on duty has gone viral, prompting netizens to praise their cuteness. "It's like they're waiting to be assigned a task by the police," they noted.

The five owl cubs were found in the bathroom of a resident in Southwest China's Sichuan Province. Police officers took them back to the police station and contacted the Wildlife Protection Station to rescue the cubs.

The five chicks jumped on the table and played with the police officers, and opened their mouths to eat the food in the hands of them, looking very cute and energetic.

The staff of the animal protection station who came to the rescue confirmed that the five chicks belong to the Eurasian pygmy owl, which belonged to the second-class protected animals in China.

"The cubs are doing well and will be taken care of when they are brought back to the rescue station," said the staff member, adding that they would be released into the wild in the future.
