A micro film festival for Chinese and South Korean young people, which included film screenings and exhibitions as part of cultural exchanges between the two countries, has concluded in Beijing.

The China-Korea Youth Dream Microfilm Exhibition is a public project for young directors hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and South Korea's CJ Cultural Foundation. It aims to discover and cultivate young film creators, promote cultural exchanges between China and South Korea, and contribute to the film and television culture of the two countries.

As part of the festival, 14 directors that received awards during previous festivals set off on a research tour to South Korea, where they will visit some of the country's film-making bases and have talks with South Korean directors and producers.

According to Yoon Doson, CEO of CJ China, young filmmakers play an important role in the development of the Chinese film industry and cultural exchanges between China and South Korea, and more projects like this will benefit young talent in both countries.
