As the winter semester ends across the country, students are given a special "year-end bonus," consisting of prizes such as fish, pork belly, and sugar cane.

At a recent end-of-school ceremony at Baishi Elementary School in Doumen district, Zhuhai city, South China's Guangdong Province, students received a total of 1,600 kilograms of "year-end bonus," including 300 kilograms of white radish, 250 kilograms of taro, 150 kilograms of celery, and 100 kilograms of leafy vegetables. It is understood that the school has a cultivation garden, where children use their spare time to grow various vegetables. Now, these down-to-earth products have become their "year-end bonus."

With the continuous improvement of the economy, many schools and teachers have actively explored diversified ways of rewarding students. For example, a primary school in Yiliang, Southwest China's Yunnan Province, rewards students with a piglet each; a homeroom teacher at a primary school in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang Province, prepares cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, and Chinese cabbage as end-of-term rewards for each child. These unique prizes are refreshing. The weighty "year-end bonus" in the hands of students is not only the school's expectation and wishes for their comprehensive growth, but also a concrete manifestation of education.
