Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng met with Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co on Thursday night in Beijing, noting that recent China-US economic and trade talks have made substantial progress, creating conditions for continued economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

He, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said during the meeting that China is working to build a unified national market and form a new development pattern, continuously expanding high-level opening-up, and welcomes US companies, including JPMorgan Chase, to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China and contribute to the healthy, stable, and sustained development of China-US economic and trade relations.

During the meeting, Dimon spoke positively of the outcomes of the China-US economic and trade talks, expressing a commitment to further engaging in the Chinese capital market and better serving multinational companies operating in China and Chinese companies expanding overseas, according to Xinhua.
