The China Coast Guard Spokesperson Liu Dejun stated on Thursday that the China Coast Guard (CCG) had lawfully handled illegal activities by multiple Philippine vessels in waters adjacent to Banyue Jiao and Jianzhang Jiao of China's Nansha Qundao from Sunday to Wednesday.

The on-site operations were conducted in strict accordance with laws and regulations, and in a professional and proper manner, Liu said.

Liu said Philippine official vessels, under the so-called pretext of "fishery protection," have carried out illegal infringements and provocations, continuously undermining stability in the South China Sea.

"We solemnly warn the Philippine side that any infringing tactics are futile," he said.

The CCG will conduct regular law enforcement for rights protection in China's jurisdictional waters in accordance with the law, resolutely safeguarding territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, said Liu.
