As batches of newly uncovered historical evidence of crimes committed by the Japanese aggressors in China have been released recently, Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, stated at Thursday's press conference that the brutal and inhumane acts of aggression committed by Japanese militarists, along with the appalling massacres, brought catastrophic suffering to the Chinese people and the people of many Asian countries.

At a regular press conference held by China's Ministry of National Defense on Thursday, a reporter said that recently, multiple batches of newly uncovered historical evidence of the crimes committed by the Japanese invading forces in China have been released. These include thousands of pages of archives and footage related to the biological warfare conducted by the infamous Unit 731, a photo collection documenting the atrocities committed during the Japanese aggression of South China's Guangdong Province, as well as diaries and photo albums of the Japanese aggression forces discovered in North China's Hebei Province. These materials expose the heinous crimes committed by Japan during its invasion of China, said the reporter, asking the spokesperson for comment.

Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, stated that the brutal and inhumane acts of aggression committed by Japanese militarists, along with the appalling massacres, brought catastrophic suffering to the Chinese people and the people of many Asian countries.

Unit 731 of the Japanese forces, in particular, blatantly violated international law by launching a horrible biological warfare against the Chinese people, committing egregious crimes against humanity. This historical fact is irrefutable, undeniable, and will never be erased.

While the devils have been vanquished, their poisonous legacy remains. We urge Japan to deeply reflect on its historical crimes, accelerate the process of disposing of abandoned chemical weapons, and return clean land to the Chinese people at an early date, Zhang said.
