Chinese humanoid robot company Unitree Robotics said on X on Tuesday that it is actively advancing preparations for its IPO and it expects to submit the filing documents to the stock exchange between October and December, at which time the company's relevant operating data will be formally disclosed.

In its post, the company said that it has always been a civilian robotics company, noting that since its establishment, it has been committed to the application of high-performance general-purpose robots in different industries within the civilian field.

Unitree also provided a brief introduction to the revenue structure of its products. Taking 2024 as an example, sales of quadruped robots accounted for about 65 percent, humanoid robots for 30 percent, and component products for 5 percent, according to the post.

About 80 percent of the quadruped robots were used in the research, education, and consumer fields, while the remaining 20 percent were used in industrial fields such as inspection and firefighting. Humanoid robots were entirely used in the research, education, and consumer fields, the post said.

According to the website of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Unitree has completed the counseling registration with the Zhejiang Securities Regulatory Bureau and it disclosed the counseling registration report for its IPO and listing in July. The counseling institution is CITIC Securities.

According to the report, the counseling institution will, at the earliest, conduct a comprehensive assessment in October to determine whether Unitree meets the conditions for issuance and listing, and will assist the company in preparing the application documents for its IPO and listing in accordance with relevant regulations.

"The company's IPO is a major decision aligned with its development needs and the market environment. While expanding its financing channels, it also injects new vitality into the capital market," Wang Peng, associate research fellow at the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, told the Global Times on Tuesday.

Wang noted that in addition to the company's continuous tech innovation and talent support, national policies encouraging innovation and industrial development provide Unitree with support in funding, taxation, and projects, creating a favorable policy environment.

Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree, said in an interview with the People's Daily that Zhejiang Province offers an open, inclusive business environment, and tech firms thrive with young talent mastering new technologies, noting that "the government already provides us with strong support."

Wang Peng said that since the beginning of this year, led by Unitree's humanoid robots and DeepSeek, China has witnessed continuous development and progress in high technology.

On August 21, DeepSeek announced the DeepSeek-V3.1 model, which uses the UE8M0 FP8 Scale parameter precision. In the comment section of its WeChat account article, the company stated, "UE8M0 FP8 is tailored for the upcoming next-generation domestic chip."
