The inaugural Global Green Development & Healthy Lifestyle Summit is held in Singapore.

On August 31 - September 1, the inaugural Global Green Development & Healthy Lifestyle Summit was held in Singapore, gathering over 2,000 participants, including health experts, science and technology experts, food industry leaders, policymakers, researchers and entrepreneurs.

A key milestone of the event was the official launch of the Healthy Lifestyle Coach Certification (HLCC) International Certification. Jointly initiated by UNESCO-ICHEI, the Singapore Nutrition & Dietetics Association, and in partnership with an international academic panel, HLCC will be offered through the IIOE platform.

At the opening ceremony, Singaporean Minister of Health Ong Ye Kung, in a video address, underscored the importance of evidence-based policies and international cooperation, while UNESCO-ICHEI Director Jin Li emphasized the critical role of education, research, and cross-sector collaboration in tackling global challenges.

Yang Yuexin, president of the Federation of Asian Nutrition Societies and also president of the Chinese Nutrition Society, emphasized that green development and healthy living are not only vital drivers of social progress and economic transformation, but also key directions for building a sustainable future through global collaboration. Through healthy lifestyles and national public policy, Yang pledged Singapore's commitment to contribute both scientific policymaking and international cooperation to the world.

The Summit also hosted the 2025 IIOE Higher Education Digitalization Pioneer Case Award Ceremony, honoring institutions and individuals advancing educational digitalization.

Over 30 international experts delivered keynote speeches and shared their insights during panel discussions, including Yang, Professor Joseph Sung, senior vice president of Nanyang Technological University; and Dr Ami Fazlin Syed Mohamed, director of SEAMEO TROPMED.

Adding star presence, renowned Singaporean actress Fann Wong attended as the HLCC healthy lifestyle ambassador, drawing wide media attention.

Co-organized by UNESCO-ICHEI, FANS, SEAMEO, Kampung Senang, GMC Group, and ILEA, the Summit set out a shared vision for integrating health and sustainability.
