When asked to comment on a Bloomberg report in which US AI company Anthropic said it will bar Chinese-controlled firms from its services, claiming the move aims to prevent a US adversary from advancing in AI and threatening American national security, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday that he is not aware of the situation, while stressing that China has consistently opposed the practice of politicizing, instrumentalizing, and weaponizing issues related to science and technology as well as economic and trade matters, which he said serves the interests of no one.
