Asked to comment on whether China will resume chicken imports from Brazil as EU is resuming chicken imports from Brazil, after the country was declared free of avian flu, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun told a press conference on Tuesday that China is Brazil's largest trading partner, while Brazil is China's biggest trading partner in Latin America. The two sides have long maintained close cooperation and communication in trade, customs, inspection, and quarantine, bringing mutual benefits to both peoples.

"As for the specific issue you mentioned, I suggest you check with the competent Chinese authorities," Guo said.
