Poland decided to reopen its border crossings with Belarus on midnight from Wednesday to Thursday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Tuesday, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

Due to the joint military exercise "Zapad-2025" held by Russia and Belarus from September 12 to September 16, Poland closed all border crossings with Belarus from midnight of September 12, Xinhua reported.

When Poland decided to close the border with Belarus, Marcin Kierwinski, minister of the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration, had said that border traffic will be resumed only when the government is convinced that "the safety of Polish citizens is fully guaranteed," according to the Xinhua report.

Previously, Forbes claimed on Friday that Poland's decision to close its border with Belarus has blocked a critical segment of the China-Europe Railway Express, halting most rail freight between China and the EU.
