China’s Ministry of Transport (MOT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments, is conducting an investigation into the impact or potential impact of the US Section 301 investigation on the security and development interests of China's shipping industry, shipbuilding industry and related industrial and supply chains, the MOT said on Tuesday.

The investigation also covers whether relevant enterprises, organizations, or individuals have engaged in, assisted or supported discriminatory restrictive measures imposed by the US on China's shipping industry, shipbuilding industry and related industrial and supply chains, as well as other related matters. Subsequent measures will be introduced as appropriate based on the investigation's findings, the ministry said.

During the investigation period, relevant enterprises, associations, individuals and stakeholders are welcome to provide clues, report situations and offer opinions and suggestions, according to the MOT.
