Japanese singer MARiA posted on Chinese social media Sina Weibo on Tuesday that "China is my second hometown, and all my friends in China are my cherished family - I will always support one China." 

Her Sina Weibo post on Tuesday has drawn thousands of likes and comments from netizens.

A Sina Weibo user Miemiejiaoshuijiang wrote that "true emotions are never just shouted out; they are proven through actions like yours year after year. Treat this place as your second hometown and your friends and fans as your family. These are not just empty words, but the traces you have left along the way. Every step you have taken has been solid and sincere. One China is the bottom line and also a consensus."

Singer and dancer Mai Mizuhashi, who is widely known by her stage name MARiA, is a member of the band GARNiDELiA and has also become popular for posting videos on the Japanese video site Niconico.

Her success has taken a new trajectory after she took part in the popular Chinese variety show Ride the Wind 2023, previously known as Sisters Who Make Waves, the South China Morning Post said.
