In response to a question about that Israel having launched attacks on shelters and other locations outside the "yellow line" cease-fire boundary in central Gaza City, causing multiple casualties, and Hamas accusing Israel of continuing to violate the cease-fire agreement and calling on the international community to take action, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Thursday that the situation in Gaza remains highly fragile.

China hopes that the Gaza cease-fire agreement will be effectively implemented, that the humanitarian crisis will be genuinely alleviated, and that peace and stability in the region will be restored as soon as possible, the spokesperson said.
