The Chinese Ministry of National Defense officially launched its official account on the overseas social media platform X on Monday with the account address of @MND_China, entitled "Ministry of National Defense of China."

"History in the making! Here we come. Hi, the official account of the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China goes live today. On this platform, we will share stories about China and the Chinese military," the ministry said in its first post.

A roughly one-minute video was attached to the post, showcasing scenes of the Chinese military during exercises and training, overseas missions, and participation in domestic emergency relief and disaster response.

"Peace is the common aspiration and lofty goal of humanity. The Chinese military has always been a staunch force for world peace," according to a preface of the video written in English.
