Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki announced on her social media account on Tuesday that after her concert in Shanghai was canceled, her scheduled concert in the Macao Special Administrative Region in January will also be canceled. She apologized to fans who were looking forward to seeing her at the concert.
On the afternoon of November 28, the organizer of Hamasaki's Shanghai concert announced the cancellation of the event, citing "force majeure" as the reason. Hamasaki is a singer, songwriter, actress, model and television host. In 1995, she starred in the youth romance film Like Grains of Sand. In 1998, she released her debut single EP Poker Face, marking the start of her professional career. Hamasaki's Shanghai performance and Macao show were both part of her ongoing Ayumi Hamasaki Asia Tour 2025, which began in June in Japan.
"To all TAs, and to those who are currently unable to log in to the TA app, I have an announcement regarding our Macao show. My entire team and I will no longer be able to bring you the performance. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to it. However, will never give up on the future. Our bond is eternal," the statement reads in her Instagram post.
