Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun

"We have noted relevant reports. All parties should adhere to the principles of a market economy and fair competition and work together to maintain the stability of the global supply chain," Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated at a regular press conference on Friday. 

Guo made these remarks in response to a media inquiry about the agreement signed by the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia and others regarding the securing of rare-earth supply chains to reduce dependence on China for developing AI technologies.
