In response to US President Donald Trump’s claim that the US possesses weaponry of which the rest of the world is unaware, Russian presidential press secretary and Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented that it remains to be clarified what the US president meant, Russian media reported on Wednesday.

According to RIA Novosti, in an interview with the US NewsNation program, Trump said that the US has “weapons that nobody knows about.” He was commenting on a journalist's statement about a certain acoustic weapon being used during a military operation in Venezuela, according to Russian media outlet.

In response, Peskov said that “in this case, it will probably still be necessary to hear clarifications about what the President of the United States means,” according to RIA Novosti.

“We have the relevant services whose tasks include collecting and analyzing information on this matter. They are doing their work. But in this case, it will probably still be necessary for us to hear clarifications about what the President of the United States means,” Peskov said, according to TASS.
