Venezuela is a sovereign country and has the right to independently choose its cooperation partners, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday, when asked to comment on that a US official claimed on Thursday that the US government would allow China to purchase Venezuelan oil but not at the "undercut" prices at which crude oil was sold during the Maduro administration.
