Asked for comment on the Amsterdam Enterprise Chamber's ordering an investigation into chipmaker Nexperia and upholding the suspension of the company's Chinese CEO, China's Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Lin Jian told a press conference on Thursday that the competent Chinese authorities have repeatedly stated their position on the Nexperia issue, pointing out that the root cause of the Nexperia problem lies in the Dutch side's improper administrative intervention within the company's operations.

The Chinese side believes that the Dutch side should promptly facilitate the resolution of internal disputes within the company and create favorable conditions for maintaining the stability and smooth operation of the global semiconductor production and supply chains. China will continue to support Chinese enterprises in safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests, Lin noted.
