When responding to question on China placing Japanese entities on export control and watch lists, He Yongqian, spokesperson of Ministry of Commerce, said on Thursday that China's lawful listing action targets only a small number of Japanese entities and applies solely to dual-use items. "These measures do not affect normal economic and trade exchanges between China and Japan. Law-abiding and compliant Japanese entities have no cause for concern," she said.

Recently, Japan has accelerated its militarization efforts, pushing to lift restrictions on weapons exports, developing offensive capabilities, and seeking to revise the "Three Non-Nuclear Principles." These actions reflect Japan's dangerous tendencies toward "remilitarization" and ambitions to possess nuclear weapons, posing a threat to regional and global peace, He noted.

"As a responsible major country, China has consistently fulfilled its international non-proliferation obligations. On February 24, China placed relevant Japanese entities to its export control list and watch list to curb Japan's 'remilitarization' and nuclear ambitions. This measure is entirely justified, reasonable, and lawful," said the spokesperson.

She stated that the specific scope and definitions of the relevant dual-use items are detailed in the Export Control Law and regulations on export control of dual-use items and the export control list of dual use items of China.
