Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Thursday that China and the US are maintaining communication on US President Donald Trump's visit to China. Guo's statement came in response to a question regarding remarks by President Trump in an interview aired Wednesday (local time) on Fox Business, in which he said factors including Iran would not change the dynamic of his meeting with the Chinese leader; while at the same time, the US is imposing a maritime blockade on Iranian ports, including vessels bound for China. A reporter asked Guo whether China believes this could pose potential risks to the planned leaders' meeting.
