"To my knowledge, this is a foreign-flagged container ship. China opposes any malicious linking and hype," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun told a press briefing on Tuesday when addressing an inquiry regarding a social media post by former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley claiming that a ship seized by the US in the Strait of Hormuz was headed from China to Iran and is linked to chemicals shipments for missiles.
