China’s utility-scale battery storage isn’t just bigger—it’s working harder. Average utilization roughly doubled between 2022 and 2025: standalone batteries rose from 146 to 299 equivalent full cycles a year, and co-located batteries from 80 to 199. Capacity alone says little—cycling is what counts.
