The US is bent upon picking up the Philippines as its proxy in its geopolitical rivalry against China. No other ASEAN country really fully supports the position of the Philippines in confronting China. The Philippines shouldn't indulge in the fantasy that the US will be able to help them to assert their false claims against China.
