Shanghai GM R&D test center being built in Anhui Province

Construction has begun on the Shanghai GM R&D test center at Guangde county in Anhui Province. The center is expected to be finished in 2011.

The new R&D center is expected to cover a 5.67 square kilometers, and has an investment of 1.643 billion yuan. After it begins production, the center has the capability of working on 140 cars at the same time, and will have an extensive track for testing. The center is expected to be the most advanced of its kind in China.
