GM China said Spyker will take on all Saab work, including Saab's Chinese dealers in China after the transaction is completed, which was expected to close in mid-February, according to the Guangzhou Daily.

GM said Wednesday that Saab's Chinese buyers could still enjoy after-sales service through its after-sales-warranty policy and certain Chinese laws.

At present, Saab vehicles are sold through Shanghai GM, and the sales agreement will expire at the end of 2010.

Dutch luxury sportscar maker Spyker sealed the deal on January 26 to buy Saab from GM for $74 million in cash and $326 million in deferred shares.

According to the agreement, Spyker intends to form a new company, Saab Spyker Automobiles, which will carry the Saab brand forward.
