JV auto brands complained about the most

There has been a rise in complaints of automobiles in China since the end of February. And among the complained automakers most are joint venture (JV) brands.

According to a report on quality and service of Chinese automotive products in 2011, car-body accessories as well as electrical appliances are the most complained, covering 24.78 percent of complaints. 20.34 percent of the complaints are about problems with engines.

Quality complaints mainly focus on cars under joint venture brands priced below 200,000 yuan ($30,433). Experts explained that customers always hold high expectations on JV cars, thus they're more easily to be disappointed once there are quality problems.

Customers are also critical of JV brands' after-sales service, especially their service charges. Referring to independent brands, customers admitted they were not satisfied with service attitude.
