Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. (JAC) started off sales of 200 units at 40 4S stores in Brazil on March 18, the China View reported on Sunday.

Two models were introduced, including a 1.4L hatchback and a 1.4L sedan.

Sergio Habib, an auto dealer in Brazil, said JAC is one of world's best automakers and its models have passed strict tests in Brazil with warranty periods that last for up to six years.

"We are fully confident about JAC's success," Habib added.

An Jin, president of JAC told a reporter that Brazil is the fourth biggest auto market in the world. Although it does not have any self-owned brands, its auto market is relatively mature.

According to An, the company plans to sell 30,000 vehicles in the country in 2011.

"We will introduce more new models to Brazil and expand our industrial scale, hoping to establish factories there in the future," said An.
