Benchmark product

The Passat new Lingyu is now a benchmark product of SVW, combining the latest design strategy of VW with the aesthetic needs of China's B-class car market. Its genuine German descent is combined with an image that is more modern, luxurious and younger.

SVW's design team has integrated simplicity with enterprising spirit into the new Lingyu by combining the innovative design language of VW with the special needs of Chinese consumers.

Industry insiders say the birth of new Passat Lingyu shows the market sense and independent development capacity of a mature automaker. It is expected to be a hit in the B-class market, augmented by SVW's advantage in product quality and quality service.

Green model

Environmental protection is emphasized at "Das Auto" VW booth and the "Harmonious Life" approach at SVW's show.

The green theme is backed by the Lavida Langyi 1.4 TSI, which uses VW's advanced TSI engine and DSG transmission to enhance performance through a high-ratio gearbox and optimized power output. It also boasts low wind resistance achieved by its exterior design, which together with low friction tires, helps it achieve lower fuel consumption and emissions than TDI diesel vehicles.

SVW says it is committed to being the most environmentally friendly carmaker in China and a socially responsible enterprise that saves energy.

Among the nation's first carmakers to develop alternative energy vehicles, SVW is now making Lavida Langyi 1.4 as an addition to its fuel cell vehicles Passat Lingyu and Touran 1.8T produced for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
