BYD first roadster coupe S8

BYD Auto's first roadster coupe S8 arrives July 19, with an expected price range between 150,000 yuan to 200,000 yuan.

The S8 features BYD's 483QB 2.0L engine with 110kW power, and it is available in automatic or manual transmission.

Drivers of S8 only need to press a button to quietly fold and stow away the hardtop, which is controlled by electronic and hydraulic power, which only takes 25 seconds.

The application of electronic technology is the other selling point of the S8. This new coupe also has an ECU (electronic control unit), ECM (electronics control module), TCU (transmission control unit), and a controller area network (CAN) to exchange data.

The S8 also features the BIVT variable intake system for energy efficiency, CVT (continuously variable transmission), one-touch system, voice electronic navigation system, car TV, electric air-conditioning system and a car rear-view system.
