Geely Vice President Zhao Fuquan said the company's electric vehicle EK-1 will enter the Chinese market at the end of 2009.
The EK-1 features a 340-volt 40Ah lithium-ion battery, and it can reach a speed of 65 km per hour. The full charging time is five hours, but with the quick charge mode, one hour is enough.

Zhao also said the second generation EK-2 electric car would be available in 2010.
