New Jetta to be available in 2010

The third generation Jetta produced in China will enter the Chinese market in 2010, FAW-Volkswagen's vice business manager and general sales manager Hu Yong said.

Keeping Jetta's previous chassis, the main changes appear in the front of the vehicle. Compared to the 2004 Jetta, the headlights, bumper, grille and fender will look different.

The most important changes will be in the engine. Starting from 2010, all Volkswagen vehicles will gradually use the EA111 Turbo Stratified Injection (TSI) and EA888 TSI, which will help to reduce at least 20 percent of fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.

The new Jetta's expected price is about 80,000 yuan.
