BMW sells 20,300 vehicles in China in January

BMW Automobiles refreshed its single month sales volumes in China last month with sales hitting 20,308 units, up 70.4 percent from the same period of last year, the auto.sohu reported Friday.

The BMW series sold 19,100 units in January, up 68 percent, which further extended the company's advantages over other competitors.

Some 6,300 units of BMW 5 series have been sold in the single month, up 98.2 percent.

MINI, another brand with the company sold 1,208 vehicles, up 120 percent. As MINI Countryman's launch in February, the brand is confident in its 2011 sales target.

The company's Greater China market, including Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan also bloomed in the first month of 2011, whose sales volume reached 21,641 units, up 69 percent year-on-year.
