China's ticketing platform Maoyan announced on Tuesday that it will be developing its business into a full on culture and entertainment service company.

According to Zheng Zhihao, CEO of Maoyan, the Maozhua Model or Cat's Paw Model, will be comprised of ticketing, data, cultural production, marketing and financing platforms that cover short videos, streaming dramas, movies and music.

Maoyan's movie ticketing, one of its key businesses, has denominated the market with a 60 percent share. This platform also covers concerts, games, exhibitions and stage dramas.

Maoyan fan clubs have reached 42 cities in the country. The new marketing platform, according to Zheng, will be able to reach audiences and young people no matter where they are.

The new plan also puts much focus on its own film business. Kang Li from Maoyan Films said that it aims to be the closest of the big six film studios to audiences.

He noted that 10 years from now, big screens will see Chinese heroes saving the world just as Marvel does.

Maoyan also announced  that it was collaborating with Tencent on film and music projects.
