Mazda 8 to enter Chinese market

The Mazda 8 is going to be launched on December 9 and will be shown at the Guangzhou Auto Show from December 21.

The first Chinese-made Mazda MPV's expected price roams around 250,000 yuan ($37,675).

The seven-seat MPV measures 4,868 x 1,850 x 1,685 mm, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase.

The Japanese-made Mazda 8 is equipped with two types of engines: The 2.3L MZR turbo-charged engine and the 2.3L MZR I4 naturally-aspirated engine. But the Chinese-produced Mazda 8 features a 2.3L engine, same with the Mazda 6 model; and a four-speed AMT transmission, according to the released Chinese-produced Mazda 8 green dictionary.
