Renovated Eastar turns into Cowin 5

Spy photos, released by Autosohu Thursday shows that Chery Mobile upgraded Eastar and grouped the models into the Cowin series as Cowin 5.

As Cowin series becomes the second best-selling vehicle of Chery, the company established a new department for it.

Chery made great changes in Cowin 5's exterior, especially in the front. Adopting Riich Z5's design, the model looks more fashionable. The model will probably feature a 1,8L and 2.0L engine.

As the Cowin series is classified as a family car, the new model will mainly aim for the low-end market with an estimated price at 80,000 yuan ($12,161).
