Geely, China Telecom to cooperate on 3G 'intelligent cars'

Geely and China Telecom signed an agreement on developing 3G "intelligent vehicles" Monday at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
The two companies aim to develop world-class intelligent cars with multiple functions such as online video service, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Geographic Information System (GIS), anti-theft tracking, and so on.
Geely has already applied the 3G technique to Emgrand EC8, in which the driver can receive e-mails, surf the internet and watch TV and movies, and was introduced as the most advanced 3G "intelligent vehicle" in the country. The company expects sales volume of 3G Emgrand EC8 to exceed 10,000 units next year. Geely also plans to apply the 3G technique to other models under the brand.
