A video with shouting of "It's fake! It's fake!" went viral on China's social media  Thursday and Friday. The video concerns a central government guide group inspecting a community in the COVID-19 epicenter Wuhan of Hubei Province on Thursday and residents shouting loudly from their windows to complain that their property management was cheating.

The residents complained that the community's property management was pretending to ask volunteers to deliver vegetables and meat to the residents but were actually not, according to media reports.

The central government guide group then ordered the local government to investigate and solve the problem immediately. It also called on a meeting soon after the incident to urge local governments ensure material supply for residents during the coronavirus outbreak.

Wuhan has started an investigation among the residents in the community, with more than 3,000 of them, to understand the appeals.

The sentiments in the video were echoed by netizens on social media platforms.

"Only by revealing the contradictions can we solve the problem," a Sina Weibo user commented

"It has to be spoken out if it is fake," another one wrote.
