Chief of Egypt's ruling party meets Chinese delegation

Secretary-General of Egypt's ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) Muhammad Yousuf el-Sharif met with a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Sunday.

Yu Yuanhui, chief of the CPC delegation and secretary-general of the CPC commission of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, conveyed Chinese leaders' greetings to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. He also sent an invitation to el-Sharif to visit China.

El-Sharif expressed his gratitude for the CPC delegation to attend his party's annual conference. He highly praised the friendly cooperation between Egypt and China and between the two parties.

He said the upcoming fourth ministerial conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will further improve the friendship and overall cooperation between China and Egypt as well as between China and Africa.

After attending the sixth annual conference of the NDP on Sunday, the CPC delegation will participate in an international seminar in Tunis on Monday held by the Democratic Constitutional Rally of Tunisia.
