More than 160 people went to the O Theatre Tuesday for the Paris Chic party, organized by French Tuesdays, a global social networking organization. Guests were treated to Taittinger Champagne, hors d'oeuvres, on-site caricature drawing and music by DJ Michelle Grant, who made her debut that night.
French Tuesdays was established in 2003 in New York City.
Its success led the organization to spread to 17 different cities around the world, including Los Angeles, Paris, London, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Tokyo, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong and Shanghai. French Tuesdays has put on more than 1,000 events over the years in those places.
The organization came to Shanghai in 2012. Their events take place on the last Tuesday of every month. Each event has a different theme and venue. Last month, the organization held a World Cup Party.
