Hebei courier deliveryman tests positive for COVID-19

A deliveryman with Yuantong Express in Shijiazhuang, North China's Hebei Province, tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday,the local authorities said.

Shijiazhuang reported 65 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, according to Hebei provincial health commission.

One of the confirmed cases, a 39-year-old villager of Wucunpu village, Gaocheng district, Shijiazhaung, works for Yuantong Express.

He commuted to work by electric bike from December 31, 2020 to January 5, 2021 and did not leave the village at any other time.

He had previously tested negative for COVID-19 on January 3 and 5.

From January 6 to 12 he stayed at home and again tested negative for COVID-19 on January 7 and 9.

On Wednesday, the man was transferred to the designated isolation point in Gaocheng district for centralized medical observation, and on Thursday he tested positive for COVID-19.
